Grey’s Anatomy’s T.R. Knight Cast in Hulu Miniseries 11/22/63
Grey's Anatomy alum T.R. Knight (George O'Malley) is coming back to a small screen near you — as the latest cast addition to the Hulu miniseries 11/22/63, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on the Stephen King book by the same name and executive-produced by J.J. Abrams, 11/22/63 also boasts James Franco, Chris Cooper (August: Osage County), Cherry Jones (24), and Daniel Webber (Sleeping Beauty).
The Hollywood Reporter describes the nine-hour series as “a thriller in which high school English teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald (Daniel Webber), falling in love, and the past itself … which doesn’t want to be changed.”
T.R. will play Johnny Clayton, a Texas salesman who is in danger of losing his wife to Jake and wants to confront his romantic rival — only he has secrets of his own.
Since his character bit the bullet on Grey’s, T.R. has been enjoying steady work on film, TV, and stage — with an arc on The Good Wife, a role in the Broadway play A Life in the Theater, and a part in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, for example.
A return to Grey’s seems awfully unlikely, so we’re glad for any chance to reconnect with one of our favorite actors!
