Original Story, June 13
After the tragic car wreck that claimed the life of Tracy Morgan’s friend and fellow comedian, James McNair, Tracy is still in the hospital in critical condition, but according to his rep, the actor is stable and his condition is improving.
On June 7, the limousine bus that Tracy was riding in after a Delaware comedy show collided with a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, killing James and injuring seven others, including Tracy.
“Today was a better day,” Tracy’s rep told Us Weekly on June 12. “While Tracy remains in critical, but stable, condition, he continues to show signs of improvement. His medical team remains optimistic that his recovery is progressing.”
Tracy’s fiance, Megan Wollover, has stayed by his side, and the wife of Tracy’s assistant, Jeff Millea, who was also in the wreck, added to the rep’s statement that her husband is also doing well.
Meanwhile, Tracy’s new FX show will be waiting for him when he’s back to his old self. “The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident,” the network said in a statement. “We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery.” We’re glad to hear that Tracy’s doing better. May he continue to have a speedy recovery!
