Pretty Little Liars’ Troian Bellisario (Spencer) is a talented young woman, and it hasn’t gone without notice. The actress has a passionate international fan base, and they recently joined forces to let Troian know how proud they are for writing and producing her first short film, Exiles. “This video made laugh cry and sit in awe of how beautiful, amazing and passionate each of you are,” tweeted Troian, along with the video that includes a recap of the project, as well as a compilation of video and written messages from fans across the world.
“Having this kind of support is a rare and incredible thing. I often don't know how to react,” continued Troian. “How I can return or be grateful for such a gift? But seeing each of your shining beautiful faces made my heart sing! I hope you enjoy the film I hope it lives up to this beautiful gift you have given me. I love you as well and support your dreams. Always.”
The video of support featured fans from all over the world, including the Middle East, the Caribbean, Australia, South America, and Europe, as well as fans closer to Troian’s home in California. They expressed their pride for Troian and the project, as well as love for their pretty little role model.
The short film, Exiles, is Troian’s twisted new interpretation of a classic: Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Troian wrote the film while working on PLL, and worked with several of her film school friends to make the short a reality. Troian also stars in the film, which premiered at the Marfa Film Festival last weekend.
