Troian Bellisario Recalls Her Snowy Bikini Scene in the Pretty Little Liars Pilot (VIDEO)

The 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars is right around the corner, which means one thing: time for reminiscing! It’s hard to believe it’s been almost five years since the Pretty Little Liars pilot first aired. Troian Bellisario (Spencer) remembers it like it was yesterday — probably because, in filming the all-important episode, she was oh-so-cold. Hear her recount the story of filming her snowy bikini scene!

What does Troian remember best from the early days of Pretty Little Liars? “Being freezing,” the actress told Clevver News at the 100th episode celebration: “We shot in Vancouver in December and we were shooting for summer… And I remember so, so vividly I had two bikini scenes. Of course. And Sasha and I were in bikinis and it started to snow. And the network called and said, ‘They look dead. Paint them pink.’ And so I remember being so cold and trying to do a scene where I was like, ‘It’s hot. It’s warm. It’s so fun.’ And I’m like yelling at her. It’s the scene where, if you look at the pilot, we go and we have a fight outside where Hanna’s inside, she like eats a cookie. And literally they yelled cut because they were like, ‘We can see the snow. You guys are going to have to frame out the snow.’”

That’s dedication, folks! You can check out the scene in question here. Both Troian and Sasha do a good job of not letting show how cold they are, though those crossed arms are now looking less a sign of their frustration and more an attempt to keep their extremities from frostbite.

Did you know it was so cold in that scene? What are your favorite PLL moments from the first episode and season? Sound off in the comments below!
