Pretty Little Liars

Troian Bellisario on Spencer in Season 5: “She’s Never Far From the Dark Side” (VIDEO)

With the Season 4 finale looming ahead tonight, all eyes are on Season 5 and the next round of challenges facing the Pretty Little Liars' central figures. With Alison DiLaurentis back in the picture, the group dynamic and individual stories of the Liars is about to shift. But we have all eyes on Troian Bellisario (Spencer Hastings), who has had a rough season, to say the least.

Celebified caught up with Troian at PaleyFest to talk about where Spencer's been and where she's headed. "I think she's definitely getting a lot of answers about that night, and she's going to get a lot of relief, and that's going to help her move on to a healthier place," the flawless star explains. Relief meaning she'll finally realize that she had nothing to do with anyone getting clocked over the head with a blunt object? We'll see in the finale tonight what more she learns, or if there's still some concern about her mental state on the night of Ali's disappearance.

But don't get too excited, guys, because Troian also hints at her character's driving force. "I think Spencer's never far from the dark side, and I think her whole character is based on a lot of fragility and darkness and I think that no matter what happens to her, she'll always carry that."

Stars Ian Harding and Keegan Allen, plus showrunner Marlene King also weigh in on a few key moments in the finale and how that affects certain characters down the line. Check out the video and then tune in to the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT. (Psst, wanna know when it's back for Season 5? We've got you covered.)
