It’s been a rough month for the kids of the late pop icon Michael Jackson. Not only is the fourth anniversary of their father’s death nearly upon us (June 25), but Michael’s only daughter, Paris, attempted suicide last week.
While Paris is said to be “physically fine,” the Jackson family lawyer, Perry Sanders, Jr., hinted at the emotional agony that has likely stuck with her.
"Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you,” Mr. Sanders, Jr., said in a statement.
Paris, herself, left thinly veiled clues as to her mental state on Twitter before the suicide attempt.
"Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away," she quoted from the Beatles' song “Yesterday” via Twitter. "Now it looks as though they're here to stay."
Her previous tweet read, "I wonder why tears are so salty."
Prince Michael Jackson was seen visiting her in the hospital last week, but he took time to be a normal teenager last night by taking his girlfriend, Remi Alfalah, to the season six True Blood premiere. The teens both attend the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, CA, where the juniors just finished taking exams last week.
It’s nice that he had some time for fun amidst the sadness in his life. What are your thoughts on the Paris tragedy?
