Oh, man. The sixth season of True Blood just keeps punching us in the gut! We kind of knew it was coming, but Nora Gainsborough’s death from “Hep V” in the arms of her loving brother, Eric Northman, was almost more than we could handle (especially after having to say goodbye to Terry just last week).

But it was also a relief! Awhile back, Alexander Skarsgard hinted that he had an “emotional scene with a blood bag” and we were worried that meant Eric was leaving the show. We’re glad our favorite fanged blonde Viking is still with us, but how about that scene?

We felt every raw, emotional moment of Eric’s anguish as he first begged Bill to save Nora, then bid farewell to his sis streaming blood tears out of his eyes and holding her closer and closer until she melted away into a bloody, pulpy mess. Gross, but touching!

We’ll miss Nora, but we sure do love seeing Eric’s softer side. And honestly, we’re kind of glad of she’s gone. Now Eric and Pam can get back to being the same-old snarky, inseparable pair they once were and stop fighting about his lusty relationship with Godric’s other progeny.

Does thinking that make us as cold-hearted as a 2,000-year-old vamp?

What say you, Truebies? Will you miss Nora? Or are you glad she’s gone? Watch the heartbreaking moment below, and let us know in the comments!
