Our favorite Bon Temps redhead is headed to The Emmys this year! Carrie Preston was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama series for her role as Elsbeth Tascioni on CBS’ The Good Wife.

Although we’re disappointed the nomination isn’t for her work on True Blood as Arlene Fowler Bellefleur, we’re proud of our girl! (And we also have a sneaking suspicion that she’ll grab a nom for Arlene's emotional goodbye to Terry in 2014.)

Preston recently talked to The Huffington Post about preparing an Emmy speech … although the one she was originally preparing was for not being nominated, “Literally the night before I was thinking about what I was going to say to people again when they asked me why I wasn't nominated ... People were asking me that last year 'Why weren't you nominated? You should've been nominated.' That's all I was thinking about. I was not thinking how I was going to answer the question, 'What did it feel like to be nominated?' It was fun."

Aw. That’s cute! Carrie went on to say that she’s now preparing a speech “just in case” she wins, but Huff Post warns that her lips are sealed about any upcoming deaths in the True Blood Season 6 finale.

Dang! We were hoping for some good ole’ gossip from the sassy Merlotte’s waitress. Now our imaginations are going to be running wild until the finale this week!
