True Blood Season 6 comes to a close in mere days with Episode 10: “Radioactive” (August 18), and we have a lot of feelings about what will happen. From death speculation to our wish list for the finale, not to mention all the spoilers, we’re prepared — for the most part.
Given that we’re apparently going to “lose so many people” before Season 7, we have a laundry list of characters who can’t die, and now we want to take a moment to discuss the plot lines and scenes that should be left on the cutting room floor. That’s right, Truebies — like you, we have been exasperated by some of the storylines in Season 6, and in turn have a few things that we don’t want to see in the final episode. Read on for our picks, then hit the comments with what would make you turn off your TV on Sunday.
1. Long, drawn-out storylines. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Though we’ve loved this season for the most part, if we see Alcide babble on about his pack, Sam talk about his pregnant girlfriend, or Andy scold his daughter for more than one scene, we’re going to rage. There’s no need for random chatter when there's a supes vs. humans war happening! Move on to the action, do not pass Go, do not collect $200, residents of Bon Temps.
2. People popping back up after seemingly dying. Read: Bill, do not cheat death again. We understand that he is some God-like creature, but that doesn’t mean he should keep “dying,” then rising from a pool of blood — that is so Season 5... and Season 6, Episode 9. This isn’t to say that we don’t like Bill, but it’s too predictable for him to be saved over and over again by some miracle.
3. Everyone sacrificing themselves for Sookie. In the words of Pam, we’re “so over Sookie and her precious faerie vagina and her unbelievably stupid name!” We kid, we kid. We still appreciate Sookie, but girl needs to not be a damsel in distress all the time. Yes, she stood up for herself and wasn’t a doormat this season, but odds are that either Bill, Eric, Benlow, Sam, or Alcide will jump in front of a bullet, a set of fangs, or some other Sookie-destroying machine to save her.
