One of the things we loved the most about True Blood Season 6 was the scene at vamp camp when Eric Northman used his blood to heal Jason Stackhouse … and it was all due to Alexander Skarsgard’s amazing delivery!

Our favorite Viking vampire gave the wounded Jason a once-over, seductively saying, “Looking good, Stackhouse!” then asking Jason if he’d healed him before, and following up with, “You’re in for a treat, my friend. When you dream of me, dream of nice things.”

Based on Jason’s steamy shower dream with Warlow at the beginning of the season, Truebies were naturally disappointed when we didn’t get to see the Eric/Jason dream come to fruition in the finale. Thankfully, showrunner Brian Buckner recently told Vulture that we can “reasonably expect” to see it in Season 7.

Brian said, “With our show there is an appetite — Alan from the get-go called it ‘popcorn for smart people.’ And popcorn is addictive: You keep eating it and expect there to be another piece of popcorn right away. My favorite shows on TV make you wait for things ... You know, sometimes things are better when we wait for them. I would love to get our audience conditioned to the idea that this might be a show that delays gratifications sometimes. Because of course we know people want to see that dream. The setup wasn't written lightly. And believe me, there were HBO executives who were saying, ‘You have to give us the dream!’ And we will. Of course we will. But that doesn't mean it has to come in the very next episode.”

*Sigh* As much as we hate to admit it, we know he’s right! At least we know we definitely have something to look forward to next season, even if it is a whole summer away.
