We know that Sheriff Andy Bellefleur’s hybrid faerie babies grew up in the blink of an eye (literally) on Season 6 of True Blood, but things are apparently going to be different for Sam and Nicole’s human/shifter hybrid baby.

According to executive producer Brian Buckner via TV Guide, we likely won’t see the sure-to-be-adorbs baby despite the time jump at the end of the finale.

"Our 10 episodes [usually] take place over the course of two weeks,” Brian explains. And, since these are not faerie babies, that means the math won’t work out for us to meet baby Merlotte...or will it?

There’s still a slight possibility that we’ll see the kiddo, and it all depends on whether this is the show’s final season, which Brian is in the dark about at this point. As he told TV Guide, if this is the last season (sniff, sniff, Truebies!), things may progress at a more breakneck pace.

What do you think should True Blood keep going beyond Season 7?
