It’s been six full seasons of True Blood and the various beings of Bon Temps are still obsessed with wunder-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her magical faerie blood. The HBO show’s seventh and final season kicks off on June 22 and, once again, two of BT’s most sought after supernaturals are waging war over Sookie.

HBO released a new trailer for Season 7 over the weekend, showing the lengths that Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) will go to for some Sookie lovin’. “Nobody in this town knows vampires better than me,” Sookie declares at the trailer’s start. We’d tend to agree with you, Sooks, you’re vamp knowledge isn’t exactly a good thing.

“This is war, Bill,” Sookie says as various vamps unleash their fangs. “I suppose it is,” Bill agrees.

Sookie’s second suitor, Alcide, certainly isn’t going down without a fight, telling our favorite faerie that he loves her. Aww! But apparently he’s the jealous type, as the trailer also shows the sexy werewolf storming into Bill’s compound. “I know she came here” he screams, kicking down Bill’s front door.

Also in the trailer, Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) seems to snag himself a promising new love interest, Pamela Swynford De Beaufort (Kristin Bauer) is as fierce as ever, and Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell)  asserts his authority.

Noticeably absent from the trailer, however, is Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard). We know the sun-resistant vamp will be back, but we’ll just have to wait until June 22 to see what’s next for him.

True Blood Season 7 premieres June 22 on HBO at 9 p.m. ET.
