True Blood’s seventh and final season premieres in less than two weeks, and even though we had our issues with Season 6, it seems like HBO is doing their best to ensure that the vamp-centric drama goes out with a bang instead of a whimper.

We already told you that one (likely beloved) character will fall victim to a “jaw-dropping” fate, and now the latest shocking intel is forcing us to prepare in a completely different way. This most recent juicy tidbit of info comes to us courtesy of a curious TVLine reader who was looking for “any” TB spoilers. Let’s just say the site’s Michael Ausiello more than delivered on this one.

“How about what’s sure to be the most talked-about sex scene in True Blood history?” he rhetorically asked. “And yes, it’s crazier than that time Bill climbed out of his grave and had sex with Sookie in the graveyard.” That bizarre graveyard hookup is seared into our memory, so if this occurrence is crazier than that, then we know something big is set to go down.

Michael continues, “This same-sex hookup, between two non-gay characters, goes down in Episode 2 of the show’s final season — and trust me, it was worth the wait. I can’t say much more, but in case you’re wondering, this particular ‘love’ scene is accompanied by strings.

Um, what are we supposed to do with a tease like that? Start speculating of course!

This may be wishful thinking here, but we sincerely hope Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) is one participant in this same-sex hookup. Yes, we’re aware that Eric was MIA in True Blood Season 7’s most recent trailer, but how can you have a same-sex hookup that doesn’t involve Eric/A.Skars? And while we’re dreaming, we might as well throw Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) in there as well. Can’t hurt, right?!

Which characters do you think are involved in this steamy same-sex hookup? Tell us your thoughts and theories below!

True Blood Season 7 premieres June 22 on HBO at 9 p.m. ET.
