Two of TV's leading ladies have something in common: a comic book role! As The Hollywood Reporter announces, True Blood star Deborah Ann Woll — best known to Truebies as virgin vampire Jessica Hamby — will play Karen Page in Netflix's upcoming Daredevil TV series.

As you may remember, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) played the part more than a decade ago in a small role in the 2003 Daredevil film, which starred Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer/vigilante crime-fighter.

Karen is the secretary at Matt's law firm — and his love interest. In the version Ellen played, Karen was smitten by Matt, but Matt seemed to only have eyes for Elektra. (Pardon the pun!)

The other stars of the Netflix version, which the online network will debut in 2015, are Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) as the titular superhero, Elden Hansen (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay) as bestie Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Vincent D'Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as nemesis Kingpin, and Rosario Dawson (Sin City) in a mysterious part.

Netflix recently made a headline-grabbing deal with Marvel that will usher in five other heroic TV series — Jessica JonesIron FistLuke Cage, and Avengers-style miniseries The Defenders.

We think Ellen and Deb need to meet over drinks to discuss  — or maybe we just really want them to be besties.
