Alexander Skarsgard has a few people to thank for getting him cast in the upcoming big-budget flick, Battleship: the women who work in director Peter Berg's office and Berg's son, Emmett!
"I was a fan of True Blood. All the ladies storm into my office and demanded that we cast him," Berg said at the Hasbro Toy Fair in New York City yesterday.
"And then when I met him, my son was there and he got out of his Audi R8 and that's my son's dream car. And my son just stood there with his jaw open, staring first at him, then at his car, and he said, 'Dad it's non-negotiable. Alex is in the movie.'"
Alex is used to gawking and staring (and hordes of ladies who want to see him), but he's a fan of True Blood newcomer Christopher Meloni, who joins the cast in Season 5.
"He's really, really good and a great guy," he said.
Alex added, "He's so hot."
OMG, do we sense a new bromance in the air?!
