As True Blood ’s Eric Northman, Alexander Skarsgard has done some pretty twisted things.

In addition to ripping hearts out, feeding on humans of all shapes and sizes, and having sex with his sister, Eric was known as the villain for most of True Blood’s five seasons.

And while that changed during Bill Compton’s Sanguinista reign in Season 5, Alexander admits that he’s worried about his dark career.

When The Wall Street Journal noted that he seems to be drawn to dark places, and Alex immediately agreed, saying, “I know. I need to talk to my shrink about that. I don’t know what that is about.”

Amidst his confusion, he emerged with one question: “What’s wrong with me?”

But at the same time, he appreciates that the show is taking a lighter turn — at least when it comes to Eric.

“It’s cool that he now has to protect Sookie and that Bill has gone bat shit crazy,” he spilled, also noting that he is glad that the writers didn’t go for the “obvious, easy choice” and make Eric go even darker in Season 5.

Darkness isn’t completely out of the question for him, though. His Calvin Klein Encounter campaign is both dark in theme and physicality, plus he just wrapped bomb shelter drama Hidden, which he lost 16 pounds for.

What about Fifty Shades of Grey, though? Although he used the same bottled answer about the books being successful and him being flattered, he did have a sexy response to the erotic novels.

After asking if the books were “good,” the reporter said, “Uh, they’re something.” And how did A. Skars respond? “I like something.”

We’ll let your imaginations run with that one, Truebies. Leave your thoughts, feelings, and/or emotions below!
