Tired of all this Avengers hoopla? Wistful for days of superhero franchises past?

Get ready, because the cast list of X-Men: Days of Future Past reads more like X-Men: All Stars — especially considering the recent additions of franchise veterans Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, and True Blood’s very own Anna Paquin.

If you recall, Anna and Shawn starred in 2000’s original X-Men movie as the superpower-absorbing Rogue and as the deep-freeze-generating Iceman, respectively — alongside Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, and Rebecca Romijn. Then came X2 in 2003, a worthy sequel that added Alan Cumming and Brian Cox to the mix. Finally 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand grossed the highest at the box office but disappointed many fans, despite the inclusion of Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde and Eric Dane as Multiple Man.

Then, in 2011, the inventive, ‘60s-set prequel X-Men: First Class breathed new life into the franchise, letting us witness the birth of the X-Men and the beginning and end of the friendship between mutant leaders Xavier and Magneto. Plus, it starred many of today’s “It” actors, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, and — holla! — Jennifer Lawrence.

Now — is your body ready for this? — Days of Future Past teams up Anna, Patrick, Ian, Hugh, Ellen, and Shawn from the original series with James, Michael, Nicholas, and, yes, Jennifer from the prequel. And those are only the confirmed actors!

X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer will return to direct the film, which will shoot in Montreal and hit theaters on July 18, 2014.

Congrats, Anna! Can’t wait to see you rock that white-streaked hair again.
