Anna Paquin Puts New Film on Hold to Take Care of Her Twin Babies

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are overjoyed with their new twin babies, but the bundles of joy are a bit of a hiccup in the new mom’s career.

Before the True Blood star got pregnant, she was scheduled to have a busy year of filming. Among her many projects was Black Wings Has My Angel, a film noir-esque thriller with The Avengers’ Tom Hiddleston and Elijah Wood. But those wings won’t be taking flight anytime soon.

"Anna Paquin was going to play opposite me, [but] she's had a baby, so being a mum is much more important than being whatever that low life character is,” Tom told Independent.ie about the film, referencing the criminal he plays, who attempts to stage an armed robbery with Anna’s call girl character.

"It was a sort of fun noir thing, but it's way, way off in the future,” he added. And likely, the film won’t happen until at least next summer, after True Blood has wrapped its shortened sixth season.

But don’t fret, Truebies — we may see Anna light up our screens before the May premiere of our favorite show. One of her films, Straight A’s, is set to premiere in December 2012, and another, Free Ride, is in post-production!
