Anna Paquin Reveals How She Landed the Role of Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood!

True Blood’s in its fifth season and we can’t imagine life without actress Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse.

And though she’s always seemed to be meant for the role, Anna did have to prep and audition just like every other actor.

“I’m a big believer in ‘fake it to make it’,” Anna told Redbook Magazine. “I went out and bought some incredibly short shorts and a push-up bra that I knew were going to be a part of my new life. It’s not that I’m a prude, but I’m not a massive exhibitionist, either.”

But the mommy-to-be has had to trade the booty shorts for maternity wear while filming Season 5 of the show. And is she embracing her upcoming motherhood?

“I have a side that’s very nesty, and another that thinks, ‘Let’s lock up the house and go away for five months,’” she said.

We’ve known Anna was “nesty” ever since her Fly Away Home days.
