During True Blood’s hiatus, Carrie Preston won’t be doing bad things — she’s set to help The Good Wife in Season 4, reprising her role as quirky attorney Elsbeth Tascioni.

Although Elsbeth popped up in Season 1 and Season 3 of the hit CBS legal drama, we weren’t sure if we would see her hilariously ditzy, yet brilliant character again. But thankfully, she’ll be back for a few episodes of The Good Wife this fall, hopefully lending a helping hand to our favorite folks at Lockhart Gardner.

Carrie described her character as a “scatter brained genius” to The Insider. “She has what her mind is doing, she has what her mouth is saying, she has what her body is doing, she has what her heart is doing. And all of those things create this very complicated but eccentric brilliant human being.”

Already excited? Brace yourself, Truebies, because we have even more news: Carrie isn’t the only Bon Temps resident that is making the trek back to the Chicago courtroom. Denis O’Hare recently tweeted photos of his triumphant return as Judge Charles Abernathy, so we’re crossing our fingers that the two will finally share a scene together!

The Good Wife Season 4 premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Will you be watching? Weigh in below!
