Christopher Meloni may play a good guy in Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU for 12 years, but he's more than ready to show audiences the darker side of himself.

In True Blood's fifth season, premiering June 10, Chris plays vampire Roman, the head of the vampire Authority, who is "a man with an agenda," he tells Vulture.

Judging from spoilers and a recent preview clip featuring a very ominous Roman, it looks like that agenda is all-vampire, all the time ... perhaps at the expense of humans.

Roman is also not particularly buddy-buddy with our beloved vamps Eric Northman and Bill Compton.

"I smack around [Alexander] Skaarsgard and [Bill] Moyer," he teases. "I f*** someone else up, and I have a girlfriend, so that's fun."

Girlfriend? Don't tell us Sookie goes for yet another bad-boy vampire!
