Among the many awards handed out at the 2013 People's Choice Awards last night (Jan. 9), a special highlight for all of us Truebies is that True Blood won the prize for Favorite Premium Cable Show.

That means that that vampy drama is more popular among voters than other high-profile pay-cable shows like Dexter, Game of Thrones, Homeland, and Spartacus.

The takeaway lesson here? Vampiries — and other supes that go hump in the night — are so much more fun to watch than serial killers, medieval clans, CIA analysts, and gladiators.

Congrats to the cast and crew!
