Happy Birthday to Jim Parrack! 5 Reasons We Love Him

Need an excuse to bust out a bottle of bubbly and toast? Today is February 8, otherwise known as Jim Parrack’s birthday!

We could wax poetic about this handsome hunk for hours, but we know you’re in the midst of a True Blood marathon, so we’ll keep it brief with five reasons we love Jimbo!

1. He’s a Great Husband

Jim and his wife, Ciera, are head-over-heels in love. They’ve been known to “stare into each other’s eyes and talk for three hours without noticing that any time has passed,” and Jim’s proposal was out-of-this-world romantic! Hint: It involved a “strawberry tree in a fantasy garden.”

2. He’s Handsome

It’s hard to be noticed in a town crawling with the likes of Eric and Alcide, but Jim has had his fair share of shirtless moments on True Blood, and we’re not complaining. Jim’s a hottie with a body, and we demand that he let the six-pack breathe!

3. He’s a Truebie

Like the rest of us fang-girls, Jim’s obsessed with vamps. Before he landed the role of Hoyt, Jim spent his formative years wandering around college pretending to be a vampire. Which is totally normal ....

4. He’s Hilarious

Hoyt is generally a pretty subdued character, but every now and then, Jim gets to work his funny bone! The scene where Hoyt interrupts Jason’s fantasies had us laughing for hours. Well, until we were weeping in our hands about Hoyt and Jessica’s breakup.

5. He’s A Go-Getter

Jim founded 120 Productions, which currently has a feature film in the works. Isn’t it great that this vamp-nerd finds time to pursue interests outside of True Blood? Sigh, he’s so well-rounded. Perfection!
