When we last left Luna on True Blood, things weren’t looking too good for the shifter. While locked up at The Authority, she was unable to save her wolf-daughter, Emma, and had to watch boyfriend, Sam, being hauled away — presumably to be killed by Sanguinista Bill.

So it makes sense that portrayer Janina Gavankar would want to flee to a less dangerous show, shifting into a new role on Fox’s upcoming comedy, The Goodwin Games.

The midseason show — created by How I Met Your Mother’s executive producers — is slated to premiere in January. It follows three estranged siblings (True Blood alum Scott Foley, Becki Newton, and TJ Miller) who unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit their late father’s vast fortune — if they follow his final wishes.

TVLine reports that Janina will be recurring as “Hannah, the ex-girlfriend (and baby mama) of TJ Miller’s character.” Hopefully this time, she won’t be popping out a baby wolf!

With that said, we’re a little nervous about what this new role means for Luna. Even though The Goodwin Games and True Blood won’t overlap for more than a few months, Janina’s character sounds like an important one. Will she be juggling the two shows, or will Luna meet her untimely death on next week’s Season 5 finale? Alan Ball did say there is a “big body count”!

So, will Luna die next week? Tell us below, Truebies!
