Joe Manganiello: Sexier With a Beard or Clean-Shaven? (PHOTOS)

Looking at rough and rugged True Blood werewolf Joe Manganiello, it’s hard to imagine him without a beard.

But during the beginning of his career, he rocked little to no facial hair and a shorter hairstyle, looking more like Channing Tatum than Big Dick Richie.

While he isn’t unrecognizable, it is still shocking to see a photo of him from 2009 side by side with a recent one — especially with the homeless chic look he’s been rocking lately.

Pictured on the left, Joe was strutting his stuff at the launch of Empire Magazine’s iPad edition at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood on Oct. 2, 2012. His slightly-salt-and-pepper beard was bigger than ever, looking a bit like Abe Lincoln!

On the flip side, Joe had only a tiny bit of stubble and a short ‘do at the Saturday Night Spectacular on Jan. 31, 2009 (pictured right). Although he wasn’t wearing a suit here, we have seen him in similar leather jackets before!

These pictures were taken three years apart, so we understand that his style and grooming techniques have changed, but which look is hotter?
