At the beginning of his career, he rocked little to no facial hair and a shorter hairstyle, looking more like Channing Tatum than Big Dick Richie. But as the years have passed, we've come to adore his shabby facial hair, which has adapted well into his were character — after all, wolves are furry.
Pictured on the left, Joe was strutting his hairy stuff in Australia on July 29. His slightly-salt-and-pepper beard wasn't as gruff as it has been in the past, but it was still pretty swoon worthy.
On the flip side, Joe rocks this completely shaved looked on Sept. 4, at the 10th Annual Style Awards in Lincoln Center for fashion week.
We have no doubt that Joe will probably grow in the fur for the seventh and final season of True Blood, but you never know. He just might keep the sleek look for the show's final bow.
