True Blood Book Vs. Show: Who Is Claude Crain?
Time to set your hunk radar on red alert, because a new super-natural hottie is hitting up Bon Temps, and he has wings!
Claude Crain is a soon-to-be recurring character on True Blood, who we'll meet on the June 24 episode, and we have the scoop on everything you need to know about him.
First up? He’s a fairy.
We couldn't help but pop out our fangs back in 2011 when we heard the news that Lost’s Neil Hopkins would play Claude — who, in the books, is a fairy from Louisiana who’s possibly related to Sookie’s fairy godmother, Claudine.
According to The Southern Vampire Mysteries, Claude has stunning brown eyes and a chiseled jaw, and his good looks have made him rude, vain, and narcissistic.
So how does this self-centered fairy pay the bills? Oh, he’s just a male stripper-turned-model/romance novelist.
We were dissapointed when Neill was only featured briefly in True Blood’s season 4 premiere, and new information has come to light which implies that they might be re-casting his role.
HBO recently set up a casting call for a possible series regular, also named Claude, who sports a posh British accent! Could this hot young gun be Hopkins' replacement, or is he a completely new character?
