True Blood Season 5 Finale: "Save Yourself" Synopsis Revealed

The promo for the True Blood Season 5 finale has many lives on the line. Not only is Russell Edgington immune to the faerie’s combined light powers, but there’s a vampire SWAT team headed into The Authority — including Jason Stackhouse, who is definitely dressed to kill.

With Bill in full-on “chosen one” mode, and blood still on his hands from last week’s murderous rampage, no one will be saying, “Save Yourself” to him anytime soon — although Eric will definitely try.

Check out the official synopsis for True Blood Season 5, Episode 12: “Save Yourself” (aka the finale we’ve all been waiting for), airing Sunday, Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO:

“Eric embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow The Authority — and save Bill from losing his humanity; Andy faces the consequences of a light pact he made; Alcide readies for a second showdown with J.D.; Sam and Luna test their limits in trying to escape The Authority.”
