True Blood finales are known to give us major fangovers, but after this season, we might be cursing louder than usual at our televisions.
Ryan Kwanten told The Hollywood Reporter that the Season 5 closer is a “more classic type of finale” than Truebies may be used to.
“I felt like in previous seasons, the sort of set-up is to have the finale in the 10th and 11th episodes, and the 12th episode is more or less tying off everything that happened that season and then setting up the next season,” Ryan spilled.
“Whereas this season is a classic kind of cliffhanger — a ‘what the hell is going to happen’ moment.”
Based on the intense promo for the final three episodes — which has sparked speculation that Jason will either become a vampire or die — we’re guessing someone’s life will be hanging in the balance.
Rounding up the clues, Alan Ball teased that there will be a “big body count” in the finale; Anna Paquin promised that the “very, very crazy last scene” will “blow people’s minds”; Deborah Ann Woll said there were “buckets and buckets of blood” on set; and finally, the synopsis explains that “Eric embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow The Authority — and save Bill from losing his humanity.”
Whoa. Things aren’t looking good for Bon Temps' residents. Now, the question isn’t who will die, but rather how many and when — and if we’ll have to wait until Season 6 to discover their fate.
What do you think, Truebies? Are you nervous about a big death in the finale? Excited for the cliffhanger? Weigh in below!
