True Blood Season 5 Speculation: What Happens in the San Francisco 1905 Flashback?
Get ready for a blast from the Truebie past!
Spoiler speculation ahead ...
Recent casting calls have shed light on an upcoming trip to Flashback City when True Blood returns for season 5. Alan Ball is looking for a non-threatening (yet dangerous) man in his 30s and a prostitute named “Washcloth Helen,” both of whom we meet during a flashback to a brothel in San Francisco 1905.
So what’s the purpose of this trip to golden state? In The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, Pam was turned into a vampire by Eric in 1905 — but her transformation took place in London, not San Francisco.
It’s possible that Alan’s changing the story by having Pam’s vampy birth take place at a brothel (after all, Pam hints about her days as a prostitute in the series), but why would Eric be hanging out with a bunch of human hookers? Actually, nevermind.
Of course, it’s also possible that Pam and Eric are running a whorehouse (Fangtasia 1.0!), or maybe this scene isn’t even about the dynamic duo at all! Is it too much to hope for the return of Hard-Hearted Hannah? You tell us!
