Last we saw Tara Thornton, she had a gaping shotgun wound to the head. So, is it RIP for Sookie Stackhouse's best friend?

This IS Bon Temps. Even the dead are never truly dead. Rutina Wesley tells E! Online, "[I'm] definitely coming back, just can't tell you quite how."

Considering the gravity of the injury, the only way she could survive is if a vampire turned her, right? Or if she's a ghost?

Rutina isn't spilling, but she did tease, "The interesting thing, for me, is the fans watching Tara recover. She kind of becomes a new woman. The journey she's about to embark on is out of control." 

Tara = vampire. We're calling it!
