True Blood Season 6: Three Plot Lines That Should Be Dropped
For every 10 amazing storylines on True Blood, there is at least one bad egg. So what plot lines should get ditched for True Blood Season 6?
During Season 5, we were on the edge of our seats from start to finish, but there were a few particularly strange interactions and ongoing plotlines that had us puzzled — and not in a good way.
While creator Alan Ball confirmed that we will learn more about Warlow in Season 6, there are a few things that we hope the writers throw out the window. Here are three that we think could easily be scrapped:
1. Eric and Nora’s Creepy Incest Sex
Although we understand that Eric and Nora aren’t technically related, the fact that they call each other brother and sister while having sex is disgusting. There are plenty of able-bodied vampires, humans, and various other supes for them to hook up with, so do they really have to “fight like siblings, but f— like champions?”
Maybe we just love Sookie and Eric too much to let someone new get in the way, but can’t we all agree that incest is creepy and gross?
2. Lafayette’s Bewitching Alter Egos
In Season 4, Lafayette was possessed by evil spirits more than once. Not only did he kidnap Arlene and Terry’s son as Mavis, but he killed his beloved boyfriend, Jesus, when Marnie’s soul came to exact revenge. We hoped that Season 5 would bring happier times for our favorite snarky Bon Temps resident, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
When Lafayette took an impromptu trip down to Mexico, he was attacked by Bartolo, Jesus’ grandfather, and had his lips sewn shut. He luckily escaped when Bartolo’s wife intervened, but the poor medium can never feel safe. We want more amazing one-liners and less sad hand-holding with ghost Jesus, please!
3. Alcide’s Papa Wolf Bonding Time
Robert Patrick is a phenomenal actor, but Jackson is an unnecessary new addition to Bon Temps. We saw him get his archery on and save some lives with his emergency V stash, but all of the grillin’ and chillin’ he and Alcide were doing felt like filler.
We want Alcide to be a family man, but watching father-son bonding happen randomly at the end of the season when we were desperately seeking more action-packed episodes? That’s nothing to howl at.
