Last we saw Russell Edgington on True Blood (before he sank into a cement grave), he had us quaking in our slippers after ripping out a human newscaster's heart ... on live television.
But when the former vampire king emerges in season 5, we'll see a whole new Russell, according to Denis O'Hare. A gentler new Russell.
"How he got disinterred made him grateful to somebody," he teases.
And we'll also see a ... funnier new Russell?
"I get to dance, I get to hold a puppy and I get to sing karaoke — a great '70s classic," he reveals. "Not all at the same time, mind you."
Don't expect Russell's personality shift to last.
"He's not toothless, but he's a little more of a comic foil ... until he isn't," Denis tells The Insider.
"And then he becomes very, very vicious again. Which I love."
Well, once a supervillain, always a supervillain, right?
