True Blood's Adina Porter Checks Into Grey's Anatomy Season 9
Shonda Rhimes must love True Blood, because in the past few weeks, she’s snagged two cast members for her shows.
While Lafayette’s mama, portrayed by Alfre Woodard, is headed to Private Practice, Tara’s mom, played by Adina Porter, is checking into Grey’s Anatomy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adina will play Dr. Ramsey, “a doctor at the Boise hospital who treats the survivors of the plane crash that has already claimed at least one life” in Season 9, Episode 2: “Remember the Time.”
Coincidentally, True Blood’s Camilla Luddington — who plays Sookie’s distant faerie relative, Claudette — is also set to guest-star as a doctor on the upcoming season! Though they never shared the screen together in the Bon Temps world, we might see them team up in Seattle.
And while Adina currently recurs on The Newsroom, with her previous guest spot on Private Practice, she may end up at Seattle Grace Mercy West for more than one episode! We’ll just have to wait and see.
Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC, with Adina’s episode set to air on Thursday, Oct. 4. Will you be tuning in? Tell us below!
