True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard may not be playing Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, but he has another erotic novel adaptation in mind.

In a Q&A session with The New York Times, Alex spilled that Lolita, Vladamir Nabokov’s controversial erotic novel, is one of his favorites — and he would love to star in a new film adaptation.

Lolita is one of my favorite novels,” he spilled. “But there’s already two special film versions of that, so ...”

Well, it sounds like A. Skars is ready to get dark and dirty. Lolita, published in 1955, is nothing in comparison to Fifty Shades of Grey, but the themes are erotic in nature.

Controversy swirled around the book because of its incestuous and pedophiliac content — middle-aged Humbert is obsessed with his stepdaughter, 12-year-old Dolores, aka “Lolita” — but it is still known as one of the best novels of the 20th century. And while it has been successfully adapted twice — once in 1962 by Stanley Kubric and again in 1997 by Adrian Lyne — we think it could be time for another reboot.

What do you think, Truebies? Would you watch Alex in Lolita or is the plot too controversial? Weigh in below!
