Carrie Preston at 2012 Critics' Choice TV Awards: What Happened to Terry in Iraq Is "Not Good" - Exclusive!
True Blood's resident human redhead was in attendance last night at the 2nd Annual Critics' Choice Television Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif — but it wasn't Carrie Preston's role as Arlene Fowler that brought her to the star-studded event.
Carrie was nominated for Best Guest Performer in a Drama for her role in The Good Wife. Although she didn't end up taking home the award (Lucy Liu won for her role on Southland), we couldn't be prouder of Bon Temps' favorite waitress.
Earlier in the evening, Carrie gushed that she loves exploring new facets of her True Blood character. While she couldn't spill any juicy spoilers to us, she did tease that Arlene's strength will be tested like never before as the drama continues to unfold between Terry and his old Army friend Patrick.
"He’s definitely had some traumatic things that happened in Iraq and so we’re going to, as the season goes on, we’re going to really see exactly what it was that went down. It is not good," she told Wetpaint Entertainment.
As for Arlene and the kids? Well, let's just say that won't go unscathed. "It wouldn’t be True Blood if everybody wasn’t thrown some kind of obstacle to overcome," she hinted.
Congrats on your nomination, Carrie, and looking forward to seeing more of you in Season 5 of True Blood!
