True Blood's Janina Gavankar Talks Her New Orleans Regrets

Luna couldn’t catch a break in True Blood Season 5.

Her daughter, Emma, was kidnapped by vampires; she and her boyfriend, Sam, were shot at by crazy, Obama-mask-wearing supe killers; and she may have skin-walked herself to death during the finale.

So it makes sense that her portrayer, Janina Gavankar, is thinking of taking a vacation.

During a chat with Total Travel, she spilled about her go-to travel accessories, snacks, and most importantly, her idea of a perfect vacation.

But how would she describe her dream vaca? Simplicity: “A bed. On a beach. Where they bring you everything you need,” she said, adding that the closest she’s come to that was camping on the Greek island of Antiparos.

When she’s actually on vacation, she has a few weaknesses, too. If she could take back one vacation splurge, it would be from a crazy New Orleans trip.

“Beignets in New Orleans [are] famous for a reason: It's hard to stay on a shape-shifter's diet and know those exist!”
