True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard may look tough and strong on the outside, but something surprising scares our favorite vampire.

When asked if his public perception as a “sex symbol” impacts his real-life relationships, he said no — but only because he’s scared of the internet.

“I never Google myself or read blogs about me. I’m scared, I wouldn’t want to do that and don’t think that would be good for me,” Alexander spilled to The New York Times.

And when it comes to his sexy status, he would never take a role that solely depended on him looking good.

“In terms of jobs, I’m an actor. There’s gotta be depth there,” he admitted. “I’d never say yes to something just to play the hot guy. That’s not what I’m interested in. Creatively that’s not fun for me.”

But that doesn’t necessarily rule out starring in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey — Christian is damaged, after all! And recently, A. Skars said that he would definitely consider the steamy role, granted that the script, director, and cast are all solid.

But until then, he’ll be warming (and breaking) our hearts in his latest film, What Maisie Knew, playing a loving stepfather who critics say is “the film’s driving force.”
