Already rewatched True Blood Season 5 and just can't wait much longer for the new season? Wondering when does True Blood Season 6 start?

Well good news! The True Blood Season 6 premiere is less than a month away. Waiting truly does suck, but you won't have to do it for very much longer. The bloody, Billith-filled True Blood Season 6 premiere is set to debut on June 16 on HBO.

In years past, almost every season of True Blood started on the second Sunday in June. Season 1 was a bit different, premiering on Sept. 7, 2008, and there was a delay with Season 4, which premiered on June 26, 2011, but otherwise, the show has consistently started two weeks into June. This season, however, the show will be starting up a week later — and here's the really bad news — and it will only be 10 episodes instead of the usual 12.

Why? Well, star Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) just had to go and get knocked up by co-star Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton) and muck up the shooting shedule! Not that we don't wish her and her adorable twins all the best, of course.
