When Will True Blood End? HBO Bosses Tell All!
Are you getting faerie nervous about the post-Alan Ball True Blood world?
Have no fear, Truebies — HBO bosses are confident about the show’s indefinite future.
"This coming year, Alan Ball is taking a little bit of a step back, but I think creatively, they're still engaged and excited by the storytelling," Michael Lombardo, HBO’s President of Programming, explained at the 2012 TCA executive session.
"As long as it continues to be performing with the consumer, and more importantly exciting the storytellers, I think we're there."
Alan will be focusing on a few new projects, including developing HBO’s Wichita, an hour-long drama about a controversial Kansas surgeon, and producing Cinemax’s Banshee, a new series about an ex-con assuming the life of an Amish sheriff, which premieres in January 2013.
