It’s time you met Alexander Skarsgard’s brother, Bill. (And yes, Alexander Skarsgard has a brother named Bill, but this Bill doesn’t have Compton in his name.)

We say that because, like his oldest brother, Bill is crossing the pond, making the jump from Swedish screens to ones stateside.

For the record, Alexander and Bill have two other thespian brothers, Gustaf and Valter. And, of course, their dad is Stellan, perhaps the family’s best-known actor to anyone who doesn’t watch True Blood.

You can catch Bill in the latest adaptation of Anna Karenina — starring Keira Knightley, Aaron Johnson, and Jude Law — which is currently playing in theaters.

“My character is named Captain Machouten,” he tells MovieZine.se, “who is the rival of Aaron Johnson's character, Vronsky, who in turn is the love interest of Anna. There is a small but very fun role because he's a real asshole. Although there are very few lines, it is a role that is ‘in your face’ [...] and not just some guy in the background. It's a fun character to play.”

He’s also a lead in Hemlock Grove, one of Netflix’s new original series. It’s an American horror story, so to speak, about two suspects in a grisly murder case hunting down the real killer. Fellow Euro import Famke Janssen of X-Men fame plays his mother. The series debuts in early 2013.

If he looks familiar for other reasons, it might be because you’ve seen him on billboards and posters modeling H&M threads.

Clearly good genes run in the Skarsgard family. Is it too late for True Blood to introduce Eric Northman’s long-lost vampire brother?
