Who Is Warlow on True Blood?
Looks like Alan Ball is taking some major creative license when it comes to Sookie's parents and their mysterious hillbilly deaths.
In The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, Sookie finds out her mom and pops (aka meemaw and peepaw) were killed by Neave and Lochlan, two "water faeries" who want to eradicate all human/faerie hybrids. True Blood has remixed this entire plotline, and it appears that Sookie's parents were killed by a pervy vampire named Warlow! (Best name ever, by the way.)
Here's what we know:
1. Sookie's faerie godmother called Warlow by name, implying that she knew him personally.
2. Sookie shouldn't have been able to access Warlow's thoughts due to the fact that he's a vampire … which could mean he's not a vampire after all! Is he an evil vamp/faerie mutant?
3. Warlow has special abilities. Sure, most vamps know how to fly — but this toothsome fella can morph into a perverted cloud. It's OK, Warlow. Sookie's used to people peeping on her in the shower.
4. According to an ancient faerie scroll Jason found in Episode 10, the next fae born was promised to Warlow by the Stackhouse ancestors! And guess who that is? Sookie!
Warlow is definitely an international man of mystery, but we have a feeling there's more to him than meets the eye. We'll just have to wait until next week to find out more!
