Will True Blood’s Kristin Bauer van Straten Return as Maleficent on Once Upon a Time? (VIDEO)

True Blood stars frequently spend their hiatuses guest-starring on other popular shows, and Kristin Bauer van Straten’s arc on Once Upon a Time was one for the (story)books.

The erstwhile sassy vampire swapped out Pam’s Fangtasia gear for a fantastical closet of dresses during Season 1 of the hit ABC fairytale show, playing Maleficent, the Evil Queen’s “oldest and best frenemy” for a few episodes.

But will the Mistress of All Evil return in Season 2? Portrayer Kristin Bauer van Straten hopes so!

During press in Germany for Ring*Con 2012, the actress explained the differences between the two shows, dished about her “fun” experience, and spilled to Serein Flash that she may be returning!

“I think I might be back, I’m hoping” Kristin said with a knowing smirk, but admitted that she typically finds out these things last.

“All of these shows tell us nothing. They tell actors absolutely nothing. I found out things from the trucker guys, the transpo guys, the wardrobe,” she admitted. “I saw a quote online from the wardrobe designer on Once Upon a Time that he wants to design for Maleficent again ... I should call him and see if he knows!”
