Bill Compton's Bio:

The human Bill Compton was born in 1835. A farmer with three children, Bill was a first lieutenant for the Confederate Army during the Civil War. His life changed dramatically upon his return from the Civil War when he was transformed into a vampire by Lorena, a vampire with whom he would later have a stormy affair with.

Nearly two centuries later, Bill met Sookie Stackhouse in Merlotte’s and a new chapter began, as Bill vies for her affection, competing with standby suitor Sam Merlotte, the Sheriff of Area 5 Eric Northman, and werewolf Alcide, as well as dissension from Sookie’s brother Jason and best friend Tara Thornton.
