Carrie Preston Bio

Carrie Preston's love for acting began at a young age. She attended drama school at the University of Evansville and Julliard. In the mid 1990's Preston met her husband, fellow actor Michael Emerson (best known for his role of Ben Linus on Lost) during a production of Hamlet at the Alabar Shakespeare festival. The two later appeared together in the 2004 comedy Straight-Jacket. Preston’s first recurring role was in 2001 as B.D Benson in the short-lived TV series Emeril.  In 2007, she appeared in a guest role as the mother of Ben Linus on Lost. In 2008, she joined the cast of True Blood.
