Lafayette Reynolds loving vamps? Not so much. His portrayer, Nelsan Ellis, on the other hand, would gladly choose a vampire over the show’s other supernatural characters (faeries, shifters, and wolves.)

But he didn’t always embrace his sexuality. Nelsan told Fraser Coast Chronicle, “When I started this show, I was very shy about sex … I used to have this angst about my body, sex, and being naked,” which stemmed from his conservative Southern upbringing.

But nowadays, he’d be happy to shack up with a vamp — even though his character, Lafayette, wouldn’t be on board.
