True Blood

Nan Flanagan

Played by: Jessica Tuck
Occupation: Former Spokesperson of the American Vampire League
Species: Vampire

Who is Nan Flanagan?

Nan Flanagan was a spokesperson of the American Vampire League. She appeared on TV frequently and had considerable power within the vampire community and its justice system.

She presented a beautiful, non-threatening view of vampires to the human community at large,  and denounced acts of violence committed against vampires. She also denied allegations of vampire attacks on humans based on a lack of evidence. Despite proclaiming that she only drank TruBlood, Nan actually killed and fed on humans.

After stopping Bill Compton from killing witch Marnie Stonebrook, Nan was fired from the American Vampire League due to the resulting havoc at an important AVL media event, where Marnie took control of the vampires there and forced them to slaughter humans on TV.

Nan also learned that the Vampire Authority was going to deliver the True Death to her, and approached Eric Northman and Bill with a truce, proposing they band together to defeat the Authority. However, when Nan revealed she knew Sookie Stackhouse was a faery, Bill staked her while Eric dispatched her guards in order to keep Sookie’s secret. Guess everything didn’t exactly go according to Nan’s plan, did it?
