San Trammell Bio:

Sam Trammell started acting during his senior year at Brown University. He landed his first television role at the age of 25 in the 1996 Hallmark TV movie Harvest of Fire. He followed his performance with bit parts on the short-lived shows Maximum Bob and Trinity.  Trammell continued to make his name for himself in the New York Theater scene, earning a Tony nomination in 1998 for his role in Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness.  In 2000, Trammell had a string of successes in the Broadway play Kit Marlowe and the films Beat, Followers,and Fear of Fiction. After seven years of minor TV roles, Sam Trammell finally got his big break when he was cast as the shape-shifting bar owner Sam Merlotte on the HBO series True Blood.
