The moment we've been holding our breath for is finally here — Rider Strong is going to reprise his Boy Meets World character, Shawn Hunter, on the spin-off Girl Meets World. We knew That Shawn had to still be in Cory Matthews (Ben Savage)'s life!

Danielle Fishel, who plays Cory's wife Topanga on GMW (longtime girlfriend in BMW), posted an adorable snap on Instagram of most of the main cast — Cory, Topanga, their daughter Riley, and her bestie Maya Hart — with some extra familiar faces, including one Shawn! Also at the table are Cory's parents, Alan (William Russ) and Amy Matthews (Betsy Randle). Along with the photo, Danielle posted, "Happy to have these familiar faces on set with us this week!" (Uh, so are we, girl!)

If that weren't enough to get everyone excited, E! confirmed the news: They're all at the table because they're all guest-starring for a holiday episode, for sure. We're so excited!

Until now, the prospect of Rider guest-starring on the series didn't look too great. In a lengthy essay, Rider said he had "no official involvement," and while we've been holding out hope, the probability of Shawn's return seemed to diminish as filming went on with no news. But now, with the announcement that our original TV boyfriend is returning to the small screen, all is finally right in the world.

Of course, Shawn (and the elder Mr. and Mrs. Matthews) aren't the first Boy Meets World alums to announce guest spots! Others confirmed for Girl Meets World include Lee Norris (Stuart Minkus) and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny). The series premieres on the Disney Channel later this year.

Will you for sure be watching Girl Meets World now that Shawn's back? Let us know in the comments!
