How many birthday candles did we blow out wishing Ms. Frizzle was real and we were her favorite student? Well, those wishes have finally come true. Magic School Bus is returning — and we’ve got Netflix to thank!

The Magic School Bus 360° will beam back into homes starting in 2016, reports The New York Times. Netflix has ordered 26 half-hour episodes of the show and yes, all of your old favorites will be there. They might just look a little different.

This being 2014 and not, you know, 1994, the graphics will be computer-generated but you can bet the mix of magic and science that had us hooked in elementary school will remain the same all these years after it concluded its first run in 1998. “Magic School Bus, the old version, is remarkably popular on Netflix,” says Ted Sarandos, the company’s chief content officer. “It teaches science in a way that transcends generations.”

Ms. Frizzle will still be head of the class but will use new tools to teach her students about the world. We’re talking robots and, according to the president of Scholastic Media, Deborah Forte, “a smart suit worn by the character Carlos that determines his body’s vital signs instantly.”

Um, how awesome is that?! Ms. Frizzle, we’ll see you in 2016!

What was your favorite Magic School Bus episode? The one where they bake a cake or take a trip inside the human body? What about that time they go into outer space or visit the haunted house? Tell us in the comments!
