It’s been over 20 years since we last saw our favorite characters of the smash spinoff, A Different World, grace the screen, and not too long ago, we got to see a couple of the cast members reunite for some good ol’ fun. Well guys, it looks like we’re going to get to see our favorite Hillman grads on the small screen as they’re reuniting for a TV special!

Thanks to the magic that is Oprah Winfrey, cast members Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer, Sinbad, Darryl Bell, Dawn Lewis, and showrunner Debbie Allen are all going to be featured on an episode of OWN’s Where Are They Know? And of course, some of the castmates hopped on Twitter to celebrate the occasion!

“I must say, today has been a good day. thanks @Oprah for getting the band back together,” Kadeem captioned a photo of himself with O. Jasmine posted the following photo of the gang together with Oprah, and captioned it, “Happy 25 years!”

The show premiered over almost 27 years ago, but still manages to have a place in the hearts of old and new audiences. As a matter of fact, not too long ago, Debbie revealed that she is still hopeful for a reboot of a show, though the process hasn’t been easy.

“I have been trying with some very powerful people behind me and the difficulty is that it gets very convoluted when you’re mixing old writers and new writers. I just wanted to name so I can get started again. Bill Cosby wanted to see this happen. Right now we’re at a standstill. I got really far up that ladder and then I kinda got stopped so we’re going to reinvestigate it again cause it’s a really good idea. A Different World changed the lives of millions of people,” Debbie told TheGrio.

We, for one, are all for a reboot. Hey, they can even make the show focus on the new class of Hillman students that include the children of Whitley, Dwayne, Winnie, and Ron?! Just a thought…
